Republic Day Speech
Good morning respected chief guest, principal, teachers and all my dear friends.Happy Republic Day to all of you.Today we all have gathered here to celebrate the 70th republic day of India.
Republic means that the citizens of the country have the right to elect their representatives as leaders of the country.
As we all know that India got Independence on 15th August 1947, however the constitution of India came into force on 26th January 1950.Since then we celebrate this day as Republic day every year. Our great Indian freedom fighters gave many sacrifices so that our country becomes independent and republic .So we must not forget their sacrifices. We should understand our responsibilities as a citizen of India and take all steps for the countries development and progress .
Let us all pledge today to do all possible efforts to make our country free from problems like terrorism, corruption, inequality, poverty etc.
With this I conclude my speech .
Thank you one and all for this wonderful opportunity to express my opinions.
